Ashfika Rahman

Career Highlights

​

Ashfika Rahman is a photographer from Dhaka, Bangladesh. She formerly worked with the medium of classical dance and theater. After completing her diploma in professional photo documentary and journalism from Pathshala (South Asian Media Institute) Bangladesh, she continued her academics in Hochschule Hannover (HsH), Germany in Photojournalism.

She is a multidisciplinary photographer working with photography, texts and alternative printing. Guided by an interest in systems of categorization and classification, her practice involves extensive research into the power and structure of society and the socio political issues.
